Biostatistics Research Core
Biostatistics Research Core (BRC) of Children’s Memorial Research Center (CMRC) was established in 2009 as one of CMRC’s shared resources. Its mission is to provide statistical services to all investigators, thereby strengthening the research enterprise. The first Director of the BRC is Deli Wang, MD PhD, who joined CMRC in August of 2009. Along with two master-level statistical analysts, the BRC works to meet the statistical needs of all investigators at Children’s Memorial. The BRC mainly provides statistical support and consultation for researchers in basic science, clinical science, and population based research areas. All investigators, including clinical residents, fellows, junior faculty, researchers and senior faculty are our customers. Biostatisticians from BRC provide statistical input for research projects, prepare the statistical sections for grant proposals, scientific presentations and scientific publications, and provide support on statistical issues for IRB proposals. In addition, biostatisticians in the BRC also conduct statistical methodology research. Our services include assistance in the following areas:
