2011 Annual Report
Embracing change: New discoveries, novel therapies
The report is now ready to view online at childrensresearchreport.com/2011.
Children’s Memorial Research Center is poised to lead in innovations that cross boundaries: across institutions, geographic locations and disciplines.
CMRC is the hub of research activity throughout Children’s Memorial Medical Center. We engage in transformational pediatric medicine based on the foundation of scientific discovery.
Looking ahead: Our plan to support the clinical mission of the new Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and integrate our research themes with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine will be of paramount importance. The emphasis will be on research leading to therapies and cures for children.
Looking back: A little over two decades ago, Children’s Memorial charted a course for success by investing in the establishment of a research enterprise that would support the clinical and educational missions of the Children’s Memorial Medical Center departments. See the 25 year timeline.
