Looking For Adolescents With Schizophrenia

To participate in clinical research involving an investigational medication for schizophrenia

Eligibility requirements for participation:

  • Males or females, ages 13-17 years old
  • Diagnosed with Schizophrenia or displaying symptoms such as
    • Hearing voices
    • Bizarre thoughts or ideas
    • Feeling confused or having trouble concentrating
    • Withdrawing socially
    • Feeling that people are “out to get them”
  • No significant medical illness, including seizure disorders
  • No history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome
  • A responsible person must be available to accompany the adolescent to all visits, provide information and dispense study medication

Study participants will receive:

  • Close monitoring of study medication safety and efficacy
  • Hospitalization, comprehensive physical and psychiatric examinations, laboratory procedures, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and study medication at no charge
